Museum Fest 2016
 
The fourth edition of the Museum Fest at the Kerala Museum Amphitheatre will take place from the 9th-11th December at the Kerala Museum Edapally, MadhavanNayar Foundation. The event will showcase music, dance and theatre from across the country, and will run alongside the Kochi Biennale Collateral Show, “Pond Near the Field’, a collaboration between the Kerala Museum Visual Arts Centre and the KiranNadar Museum of Arts, Delhi.
The main sponsor of the event Museum Fest 2016- Ministry of  Culture , Delhi.
The festival begins  on the 9th of December with RukminiVijayKumar from the Boston Conservatory, Ballet and Bharat Nattyam dancer, and  founder of RaadhaKalpa presenting  a dance ensemble and solo performance.  Her productions, dynamic direction and unique choreographic perspective roots the contemporary in tradition and is delightfully refreshing.She has been appreciated for her unique style and dynamism at performances all over the world.
 
On the second day of the Festival is a Classical treat by rising stars, with a violin concert by VidushiApoorva Krishna. Disciple of Guru LalgudiSrimathiBrahmanandam and Guru AnuradhaSidharth, Apoorva has performed in the Madras Margazhi Music Festival, Cleveland TyagarajaAradhana Festival, and many other leading sabhas all over India.
This will be followed by vocal recital by Ashwath Narayanan, recipient of Kalki Krishnamurthy Memorial Award for the year 2016.
He received the Shree Shanmukhananda  MSSubbulakshmi 2013 Fellowship and is also the winner of the Hindu Saregama MS Subbulakshmi Award 2013. He has conducted Concert tours to the USA in Spring 2014, 2015 at the Cleveland Aradhana Festival 
 
'Akshayambara’  presented by ' Dramanon', Dramatist Anonymous,  founded by SharanyaRamprakash uses both  modern theatrical  tools and the  dance drama form of  Yakshagana.
It was recently  nominated  in  eight  categories  at  the  Mahindra  Excellence  in Theatre Awards (META) ’16, best Male Actor and Best Director and script.  Sharanya is actor, director, and playwright of the play.
Sharanya is a TheatertreffenInternational  Forum 2016  scholar. Her latest work  'Bangalore  Bureau of  Future  Information'  was presented at the  City  of Mannheim, Germany  for  the  2016 edition  of  the  Schwindelfrei Theatre Festival.
